Alerces Spanish Preschool & Kindergarten Inc.
Forest & Outdoor School Program
Where Nature and Literacy Grow
The Forest and Nature school program at Alerces “El Bosque de Alerces” is based on a fundamental respect for children and their capacity for inquiry, curiosity and adventurous approach in the natural world.
Forest & Nature School Program
The Forest and Nature school program at Alerces Spanish Preschool & Kindergarten invites students to discover and experiment in the forest at Churchill Park. Through exploration, children grow their self-confidence, recognize their abilities and achieve the same learning processes they will achieve in the classroom, but in outdoor in nature. Children become more sensitive with nature, learn respect from the creatures and beings and enjoy the natural world in an age appropriate way.
At times we may bring objects with us into the woods to enhance creative play, and other times we will leave children their playful imaginations to lead the theme of their exploration and play. Take advantage of the beauty and wonder of our very own forest school just outside our doors at Alerces.
In order to fulfill their curiosity, and to reach their potential, children will be at the forest minimum once a week.
